Students listen for what pitch is last in the melody. Melodies are either 3 or 4 pitches long and played on a ukulele using a C string for low and G string for high (so an interval of a 5th). They drag the gingerbread person from beside the tree to the spot above the line if the last pitch is high or below the line for low. The first part of the melodies are shown. To hear the melody again just click the tree. Sound will automatically play with each new card. Directions are read to the student on the very first card, once they click the tree, followed by the melody. For a but more advanced deck also look for my solar system themed high/low game cards. Students will drag and drop planets – writing out the entire melody.
